2011 Honda CBR250R First Impressions

While the Honda may at first seem conventional at best, a quick look at its spec sheet proves otherwise. In fact, the Honda plays host to a number of innovative tech features that set it apart from the Kawasaki - despite being one cylinder down. Many of the features, including the fuel injection and optional ABS (more on that later), were incorporated into the lightweight machine’s design so that the bike was easier to ride and easier to work on – something all entry-level riders will appreciate.

The DOHC liquid-cooled single-cylinder 249cc engine of the 2011 CBR250R is an all-new design that was erected specifically for this bike – as was the chassis. The power plant plays host to a counterbalancer for reduced vibrations, roller bearing-equipped rocker arms that activate the valves and a spiny-sleeve cylinder that will keep the engine’s temperatures down. An interesting side note is the fact that the rocker arm design of the single-cylinder engine allows for valve shim adjustment without removing the cams. And speaking of valve adjustments, Honda says valve adjustment intervals are right at 16,000 miles – which is similar to the intervals of the 250’s larger CBR relatives.

As previously mentioned, the chassis of the CBR250R is an all-new design that was constructed specifically for this model. The steel frame features a diamond twin-spar design that uses the engine as a stress member. In terms of suspension, the CBR250R offers a 37mm non-adjustable conventional fork and Pro-Link rear shock. And while the seventeen-inch front wheel is mounted with a 110/70 series tire, the seventeen-inch rear wheel is mounted with a 140/70 tire.
When designing the bike, Honda engineers worked meticulously on the CBR’s rider triangle. The result is a bike that features a 30.5-inch seat height and is surprisingly comfortable – even for riders topping the 6-foot mark such as myself. The upright bars put the rider in a comfortable seating position with little to no weight on the rider’s wrists or arms.
Needless to say, we at Sport Rider were excited to try out the CBR and see if it was as capable and innovative as its spec sheet made it out to be. Thanks to Honda’s press intro, we finally had the opportunity to do just that.
Sepang MotoGP Test

Uncharacteristic of the nine-time world champion's usual MotoGP performance, Valentino Rossi could only post 12th fastest at Day 1, and 13th fastest at Day 2 of testing at Sepang.
Rossi's time did improve .08 on Day 2, as he posted a 2:02.597 aboard the Ducati Team GP11, but the Italian says his shoulder is affecting his overall performance at the first official test of the 2011 MotoGP season.
Regardless, Rossi and the Ducati team are making progress, experimenting with different fairings on the Desmosedici to aid his recovering shoulder as the team prepares for the first race of the MtooGP season at Qataron March 17.
After completing 23 laps on Wednesday at Sepang for the second of three days testing, Rossi was 1.791 behind the leader, Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa.
Following is what VR46 was saying after Day 2 in Sepang:
Valentino Rossi (Ducati Team GP11) says: "I'm happy because I was able to ride again today. I did another 42 laps, which is reassuring. Even when I work my shoulder hard, I'm finding that it doesn't get worse, and I don't suffer too much, to the extent that I was able to start again this morning without having lost anything compared to yesterday.
"Actually, the shoulder is even getting better as I ride, and I'm able to make the movements that are required. Obviously, it's still a handicap, because eventually I begin to lose strength and the pain increases, but we were able to do some good, consistent work."
"Being able to ride again today is important because the shoulder isn't getting worse under the continued strain. Everything is fine while riding under 2'03, then when I try to take another second off the strength diminishes and the pain increases.
"It needs more time, without doubt. The situation will improve, but it will be a wait until May. Only then will we be able to work extensively on the bike, because everything we do now could be thrown into doubt when we record more competitive times, when my physical condition is perfect.
"Today we tried a lot of things, especially with the aerodynamics. We focused on comparing fairings and riding with and without wings, and I'm more inclined towards the latter option. The fact is that I'm not in the best physical condition and with the wings I find more resistance in corner entry, which is not good for my shoulder.
"One of the things we need to improve is going through the turns, because I can't turn the bike as I would like to. Tomorrow we're going to continue working with the same enthusiasm as we had today, and at the end of the Test we'll leave with a lot of information.
"We also did a Test with the tires, and that's something that the Ducati depends a lot on as its behaviour changes a lot depending on whether the tyres are hard or soft," he stated. "The results haven't been bad, but we haven't solved the problems with vibration in the front yet. When it starts to vibrate the bike is really difficult to handle.
"Everybody seems to be very much in shape, both the bikes and the riders. It's normal to go harder in Testing than during a GP weekend. When you have three days in which to ride you can ride fast all day because it makes the bike perform better, and above all because there's more rubber on the track.
"For this reason I think that tomorrow I can go even faster. Our objective is to improve our times, but mainly to improve my feeling with the bike and find how to ride with less difficulty."

Still in its original shape and dimensions. Even for the affairs of the tank, while maintaining the position under jok.Perubahan radicals can be seen on the arm swing. "I made a new design using the design tralis as often done in deltabox motor sport," added Arno from Jl. Prince Diponegoro, No. 29, Batu, Malang.

News Aksesoris BMW S1000RR Superbike

BMW S1000RR Superbike might not be making big waves in World Superbike competition just yet, but today's release of photos, specifications and a hugely detailed press pack leaves us in no doubt that the new Beemer flagship will be an absolute monster on the road. A massive 193 horsepower is just the beginning - the S1000RR packs a combined ABS that's lighter and smarter than Honda's, variable intake tracts and exhaust butterflies that outdo the Yamaha and MV Agusta systems, a 4-mode variable engine mapping system that seems a lot better thought-out than Suzuki's, and a very clever traction control system that's integrated into the mind-boggling fly-by-wire engine management system in a way that seems much more logical than Ducati's. Brand new in every way, this purpose-built German superbike is set to hit showroom floors well before the end of the year.
As Troy Corser and Ruben Xaus quietly go about the long and arduous task of developing the S1000RR into a World Superbike title contender, BMW are getting set to release the brand new superbike to showrooms worldwide.
The bike is packed with some of the most sophisticated and complex technology ever seen in the motorcycle world, all tightly integrated and kept out of the rider's way in the name of huge, controllable power, the cutting edge in safety and sweet handling on wet or dry roads.

Review Cagiva 750 Elefant And Specifications
At face value the Cagiva Elefant was born of the marriage that is not possible, but the reality of marriage up (then Cagiva owned) Ducati V-twin with a monster trailie, proven desert racer type chassis only kind of disappointed with the masterstroke of poor build quality. Elefant large (the 750 also produced) is alive, is handled quite well and even half-decent off-road. Now look old, though.
Machine Cagiva Elefant 750
The Cagiva 750 and 900 are activated by Elefants standard rate of air-cooled Ducati Desmo two-valver, which proved right at home in the chassis boy offers high flexibility and poked and enough enthusiasm to make the Super Twins Teneres Africa and looks boring.
Ride and Handling Cagiva Elefant 750
The Cagiva Elefant's wheel, as you might expect from a motorcycle from an Italian company, which suggests a sharp and vivid (for large trailie) but it's quite stable and luxurious thanks to a half decent Marzocchi and Ohlins suspension components. The chair is no need to narrow and firm, yet.
Equipment Cagiva Elefant 750
Although the proper cycle (Marzocchi and Ohlins plus Brembo brakes, etc.), the rest of the Cagiva Elefant unfortunately pretty basic, crude and decoration-free. Hours and gifts do the job, but not in the same league as Honda Africa Twin. Compare and buy parts for Cagiva Elefant in MCN Shop.
Quality and Reliability Cagiva Elefant 750
Monster trailies need more durable than most so Cagiva Elefant, a typical dreary by the early 1990s, the misery of poor italian paint, doubted the reliability and corrosion resistance is inadequate, it asked for trouble. No major mechanical disaster, but they need to treat with kid gloves
Value Cagiva Elefant 750
The Cagiva Elefant seemingly represents a lot of bike for the money and a cheap way into 'Ducati' ownership. The downsides are dodgy styling and paintjobs (brown among them) - so make sure you get a Lucky Strike replica - and iffy finish and reliability, so do your homework when being used. New Otomotif KTM 125 Duke
KTM Duke 125cc four-stroke based learner street bike, KTM has shockingly come to the conclusion that it should stick to its Duke nomenclature. Schedule to be the 2011 KTM 125 Duke, KTM debuted the concepts at the 2009 EICMA show in Milan. KTM’s plan is to engage young riders with the “Ready to Race” mantra, making them lifetime Team Orange riders with this stepping-stone model.
With a sporty street bike and a stunter variant, KTM hopes the pair of bikes will resonate well with actual mischievous teenagers, just as its done successfully with adults who have a healthy go-fast inner-child residing inside them.
Look for the 2011 KTM 125 Duke to hit shops in Europe sometime in March, and hit shops in the United States in…well…never. Let KTM USA know how much fun a KTM 350/450 Duke would be in the comments section, and check out the photos and video of the KTM 125 Duke after the jump.

YAMAHA TMAX 750CC CONCEPT SCOOTER
The development is demography abode on the accepted engine base: the T-Max 500 cc accompanying cylinder, with a third agent rod with anti-vibration function. That third rod would after accomplish way for a absolute third cylinder, accretion ability to 750cc. With the all-important modifications, the new three butt engine would be chip assimilate the scooter with no problems, while the final manual would be adequate to bout the greater ability output.
Yamaha 3-cylinder scooter T-Max 750, which will become adversary to the Gilera GP800.
June 8th, 2009 - Imagine a new, better looking T-Max that puts out even more power than the current 500cc model. Rumors keep reemerging that Yamaha will introduce a new 3 cylinder T-Max with a displacement of 750cc. Apparently the T-Max 500 already has a dummy cylinder and rod that is currently used to counter balance engine vibration. It appears the plan is the utilize the extra cylinder and rod with a real piston to bump the displacement to 750cc. Although nothing has been officially announced by Yamaha, it seems like this would be a easy way to compete power-wise with the newest maxi supersport scooter to hit the market, the Gilera GP800.
If this model is getting ready to be launced for the 2010 year, expect an announcement from Yamaha sometime in the Fall of 2009. If the US does end up getting the T-Max 750, I would imagine that it won't arrive here until the 2011 or 2012 model year. Stay tuned for all of the latest updates on the new Yamaha T-Max 750cc maxi sport scooter.
Kawasaki Ninja 500R Review:
If you want a motorcycle that has proven itself time and time again, look no further than the Kawasaki Ninja 500R. The 500R is a brother to the Kawasaki Ninja 250R, and have beefier machines come in nearly 500cc's. Basic design of the 500R has changed little since it was introduced in the 80s, but over time the engineers at the Kawasaki has added the pieces to bring this classic in the modern era.
The Ninja 500R is equipped with a Liquid Cooled 498cc, 4 stroke Parallel twin engine that can reach a top speed of around 120mph, and run the quarter mile in 12.98 seconds. This is more than enough power to the road, and could make you smile ear to ear on the track. The bike has enough mid-range power-consuming but it really comes through once you roll a bit, that's where the fun really begins. The Bike weighs in at 388 pounds dry trim, and 437 when fully charged the fuel that helps if you ever had slow-speed maneuvers and you need to stop the bike from tipping over.
ninja's really come on its own when used in a vast urban landscape. Its slim design makes the wind lines to separate traffic between California and the engine has enough grunt to accelerate off the danger with a twist of the wrist. One thing you may want to do when doing a lot of cities up to replace the stock mirrors because they tend to be small and slightly to the wrong place for my tastes, and I have a feeling I'm not the only one who thinks so.
In my opinion this bike is one of the best bike for your money. It gets nearly 50 miles per gallon when driving normally, and the MSRP is only about $ 5,000, which is much cheaper than even a few big cheapest I-4 600cc sport bike. You can even take the Ninja used for around $ 2500-3500 by shopping around a bit and try to find a good agreement (see article I bought new VS buying Used). Couple that with cheaper insurance rates you will get a bike less than 600cc and you'll save a bundle enough!
So if you're a new rider looking for a little more power than the Kawasaki Ninja 250R can provide, then look at this bike. You definitely will not be disappointed.

Norton GP Concept by Oberdan Bezzi

Design by Oberdan Bezzi has seized on the news that Norton MotoGP bike in 2012, and came up with a drawing of what that British-born race bike could look like. The Italian designer sees Norton using a carbon-framed chassis to house its four-cylinder motor with pneumatic valves, and of course with a British rider at the helm. Obiboi sees Norton rocking the white paint-job, but we’re hoping that Norton will choose a color that stands out from the pack a bit more…British Racing Green perhaps?

2010 Kawasaki Z1000 by Roaring Toyz 'Review:
The Kawasaki Z1000 2010 has been one of the best Japanese nakeds around, but new ways to make better riders always found either by individuals or with the tuner. This is really one of those bikes that people see and ask "what shares and what is bad about it?
